Headshots are some of my favorite sessions because although they may seem simple, they have many photography and artistic rules I have to follow. Having a degree in theatre arts helps me use the knowledge I learned and apply it to my work. For example, there are certain backgrounds you are not supposed to use, like brick walls. Some places may allow it but many do not care for it. Great background options are solid neutral-colored backgrounds, a waterfall, and anything nature. The focus of the photo should be tact sharp and retouching may be done as well.
